Healthcare Informatics Names Mark Hagland Editor-in-Chief

NEW YORK, Jan. 21 Vendome Group LLC has announced that Mark Hagland has been named Editor-in-Chief of Healthcare Informatics, effective immediately. As a nationally recognized healthcare journalist, Mr. Hagland brings more than 20 years' experience in healthcare publishing as a writer, editor, and speaker.

“We are very pleased to have Mark Hagland take a leadership role at Healthcare Informatics. His extensive experience managing healthcare publications and covering healthcare technologies and issues, plus the high regard in which he is held by industry insiders will enable him to implement and achieve strategic goals that benefit Healthcare Informatics and its readers," said Mark Fried, Vice President and Managing Director for the Healthcare Division of New York-based Vendome Group.

Prior to his appointment, Mr. Hagland served Healthcare Informatics and its readers for more than 10 years as a Contributing Editor, covering topics including healthcare policy and reform, patient safety and quality, provider-payer relations, organizational strategy, and strategic IT issues and been recognized with numerous national awards for his work. He has also authored two books on improving quality and efficiency in healthcare delivery. He holds a Master of Science in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill.
