Senate: Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT) will remain at the head of the powerful Senate Finance Committee; Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) stayed as chairman of the Appropriates Subcommittee Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee and in that same committee, Bernard Sanders (I-VT)will stay the chairman of the Subcommittee on Primary Health and Aging.

Just Happened: CHIME Public Policy Monthly Briefing, Featuring CMS
In the first monthly briefing of 2013, CHIME members heard from CMS regarding a CQM electronic reporting pilot currently underway. Beginning in 2014, all hospitals and doctors will have to report CQMs electronically, regardless of Stage (unless you’re a first timer in FY 2014).
