Rich Temple is the Chief Information and Business Intelligence Officer for AristaCare Health Services, an organization that owns and operates Long Term Care facilities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Rich also serves as VP of the NJ Chapter of HIMSS, as a member of the Health IT Committee for the American Health Care Association, and will be leading an “IT Task Force” for the Health Care Association of New Jersey. His blog speaks to some of the unique aspects of bringing technology to bear in a long-term setting, as contrasted with acute-care hospital settings. Additional areas Rich would like to explore in his blog are “out-of-the-box” ways that technology can be transformational in changing corporate cultures and enhancing business intelligence across the enterprise as well as the impact of political changes and different reimbursement models on both long-term care and the healthcare industry as a whole.
