HL7 Introduces New Implementation Guides

Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Health Level Seven (HL7), a developer of global healthcare standards, has made breakthrough progress with its Clinical Document Architecture (CDA), including four new implementation guides that address basic documentation requirements for diagnostic imaging, consultations, quality reporting and home health monitoring.

The four implementation guides were created in response to industry demand, says the organization. The guides, which were developed and balloted by HL7 with support from industry partners focus on operative notes, quality reporting for document architecture.
