Ruben Amarasingham, MD, MBA is the President and CEO of the Parkland Center for Clinical Innovation (PCCI) at Parkland Health & Hospital System and Assistant Professor of General Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. The Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that specializes in real-time predictive and surveillance analytics to prevent adverse clinical events before they occur.
Dr. Amarasingham has conducted and published studies in health IT evaluation, enterprise-wide quality improvement, and the use of the electronic medical record (EMR) to support innovative care delivery models. As CEO of the PCCI, Dr. Amarasingham heads up a team with extensive experience in electronic data mining, predictive modeling and natural language processing. His team has designed and implemented an automated risk modeling software, called PIECES, that accurately identifies patients at high risk for readmission or death in real-time that has had significant impacts at Parkland. He is currently leading a Commonwealth Fund sponsored collaborative between Parkland, Texas Health Resources, and the UT Southwestern University Hospitals to design one of the first real-time electronic predictive readmission model that can apply to any disease state.

Curtis A. Boehm, MD Chief Medical Information Officer
Curtis A. Boehm, MD, is Chief Medical Information Officer at Park Nicollet Health Services in Minneapolis, Minn. Park Nicollet is a health organization consisting of 26 clinics, 55 specialties and one hospital serving Minneapolis and its western suburbs. Dr. Boehm obtained his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1992. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota before joining Park Nicollet in 1995 as a primary care physician. Among Dr. Boehm's key accomplishments is the successful implementation of computerized provider order entry (CPOE) at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in 2003 Additionally, Dr. Boehm played a critical leadership role during Park Nicollet’s three-year transition from an outdated electronic health record to a more robust, fully integrated system that was implemented in July 2011. He has chaired the order-set steering committee at the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement and co-chaired the CMS Pioneer Accountable Care Organization Health Information Technology action group.

Russell Branzell CEO, College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, (CHIME)
Russell P. Branzell, who in February was named incoming CEO of the Ann Arbor, Michigan-based College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), officially took on the role on April 5. Prior to that transition, Branzell served in a variety of key executive positions in healthcare IT leadership and healthcare executive leadership, including as CIO of the Poudre Valley Health System (now the University of Colorado Health), and, most recently, as CEO of Colorado Health Medical Group, a division of the University of Colorado Health. In addition to his executive leadership positions, Branzell has been an energetic and highly active volunteer leader in CHIME; among his accomplishments has been spearheading what has become CHIME’s state-level advocacy efforts. Carroll also served as the vice president and chief information officer of the Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Mich. and vice president of information services and chief information officer at Baystate Health Systems in Springfield, Mass. Earlier in his career, Carroll served in multiple leadership roles with Magee-Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, Penn.

Patrick Gordon Vice President of Community Integration for Rocky Mountain Health Plans
Patrick Gordon currently serves as associate vice president of community integration for Rocky Mountain Health Plans. In addition to his role as executive director of the Colorado Beacon Consortium, he is also leading the implementation of the Medicaid Accountable Care Collaborative project in western and northern Colorado. Within RMHP, Patrick is accountable for an array of payment reform, health data exchange and behavioral health services integration initiatives, and provides oversight of the Medicaid, Dual Eligible and CHP+ programs supported by the health plan, including the CMS Innovation Center’s Comprehensive Primary Care Initiative. Jason Haupt, Ph.D. Senior Statistician
Jason Haupt is the Senior Statistician for the Performance Resource department of Allina Health. He has developed predictive models based on medical record data to help direct interventions and programs to provide improved quality outcomes for patients—most notably in preventing hospital readmissions. Dr. Haupt also consults on or leads the statistical analysis of various process improvement initiatives and research studies across the Allina Health system. Formed by Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Fletcher Allen Health Care, Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems and MaineHealth, NNEAC creates common financing and accountability models and provides a common infrastructure to support the delivery of value-based accountable care. He is a current faculty member at The Dartmouth Institute. He serves as Chief Science Advisor for Bupa Health Dialog and is an active member of the Health Dialog Board of Directors.
Prior to his work with the Northern New England Accountable Care Collaborative, Dr.Wennberg co-founded Health Dialog Analytic Solutions, the analytic division of Health Dialog and served as Health Dialog’s Chief Science Officer for a number of years.
Dr.Wennberg is an internationally recognized authority on the root causes of unwarranted variation. His work has been published in many peer-reviewed medical journals including the NEJM, JAMA and the Annals of Medicine.

Matthew Wiandt, Vice President, Solution Development, Accountable Care Solutions, Optum
Matthew brings over 15 years of experience starting and managing new companies, products and initiatives in health care and financial services. Since 2008, Matthew has worked with integrated delivery systems to help them identify and develop the capabilities and relationships necessary to successfully operate as accountable care organizations. Matthew’s work concentrated on developing accountable care roadmaps, as well as helping providers align physicians, improve clinical performance and negotiate risk-based contracts with payers. Currently, Matthew leads Solution Development for the Accountable Care Solutions business at Optum.
