With the emergence of new healthcare regulations and ever present budget crunch, healthcare systems and providers are faced with many new challenges including: the adoption of new tools and systems, the increased need to be more efficient, and the requirements to keep patient data safe and secure.

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technology has received a great amount of buzz in the industry for the promise it provides in Healthcare and rightfully so.

In this webinar, the Siemens technology implementation team will review the key tools and elements that when brought together with VDI and implemented correctly can help overcome challenges such as user adoption of new systems and requirements such as CPOE.  These technologies are enabling clinicians to improve their productivity, as well as easily and securely access their work sessions from anywhere including roaming from device to device inside the facilities, to mobile devices; ultimately allowing more time providing patient care.

Also joining the discussion will be a Healthcare CIO who recently implemented a VDI solution along with surround technologies.  The CIO will discuss the advantages they have seen from implementing this solution.

 Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss the key components of a Fast, Mobile, Easy and secure solution
  • Review the system integration requirements for these types of solutions
  • Understand security impacts related to mobile devices and desktop virtualization
