CNBC’s health technology reporter Christina Farr is no stranger to getting “scoops” on some of the biggest digital health stories that have been uncorked in just the last year.
Some of Farr’s breaking news prowess has included being the first to report on Apple’s foray into health records last summer; a more recent story about Facebook being in talks with top hospitals about a proposal to share data about the social networks of their most vulnerable patients; and how Amazon is pushing into new healthcare areas despite not giving many details.
