Electronic medical record software developer, Azron, Inc., Carlsbad, Calif., named Kevin J. Roberts as chairman and CEO, taking the helm from Jae A. Evans who remains with the company as president. Roberts was formerly chairman and CEO of SeQual Technologies, Inc., San Diego. Previously, he was CEO of BIOSYM Technologies and an executive for McDonnell Douglas Corp.’s health information systems division.
HBOC’s, Atlanta, president and CEO Charles W. McCall replaced retiring Holcombe T. Green as chairman of the company. McCall will maintain his current responsibilities at HBOC.
Datamedic Corp., Waltham, Mass., appointed Peter Allen as president of the Enterprise Solutions Division, responsible for delivering Datamedic’s clinical and practice management information systems products. Allen was previously vice president of integrated delivery network sales for Enterprise Systems, Inc., the resource management company acquired by HBOC in 1996.
Richard A. Noblewas named CEO of MICROMEDEX, Denver, a healthcare database company. Noble replaces Barry H. Rumack, the company’s founder, who retired at the end of last year. Prior to joining MICROMEDEX, Noble was executive vice president and COO of the Canadian firm, Medical Economics Company.
