Recently, a number of healthcare informatics stakeholders, from the provider, vendor, and association side, shared their concerns over the requirements in Stage 2 in front of a Senate Finance Committee meeting in Washington D.C. In May, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) called for a one-year extension of Stage 2 under meaningful use, arguing that such a move would “maximize the opportunity of program success.” Others, like U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), have called for a temporary suspension of the meaningful use program.

We’re now asking you, our readers, to answer a simple yes or no question: Should the Stage 2 attestation period be altered (extended or delayed) in any way?

Take the poll right here or on the sidebar of the website.
