The recently opened Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children (Orlando) has gone live with GetWell Town, an interactive patient care solution from Bethesda, Md.-based GetWellNetwork Inc.

According to the company, GetWell Town is designed to help children and their families learn about their health condition, fill prescription orders, check emails, watch movies and access the Internet. The tool is currently installed in general patient rooms, the intensive care unit and the pulmonary care unit. Plans are in place to install it hospital-wide, says the company.

The Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children is a full-service facility that provides patients with private, family-centered pediatric rooms, a dedicated pediatric emergency department and an Advanced Center for Pediatric Surgery.
