Clara Maass Medical Center, part of the five-hospital Saint Barnabas Health Care System located in West Orange, N.J., has selected Axolotl Corp. (San Jose, Calif.) to provide technology and services for health information exchange.

Clinicians will be able to send and receive EMR data via a clinical network that will enable communication among disparate medical record systems, according to the company. In addition, Axolotl’s Elysium Virtual Health Record will provide a comprehensive view of the patient, allowing clinicians to electronically locate, connect to, and review patient charts across multiple health care systems, it tous.

Clara Maas is a 465-bed community hospital located in Belleville, N.J. The hospital serves residents of Essex, Hudson and Bergen counties in northern New Jersey.
