The eHealth Initiative, in collaboration with the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Physicians, the Medical Group Management Association, and the Center for Improving Medication Management (Center), issued what it calls the first comprehensive, multi-stakeholder-informed “how-to” guide to help clinicians make informed decisions about how and when to transition from paper to electronic prescribing systems.

The guide, the group says, is designed to meet the needs of office-based clinicians who are new to the concept of e-Prescribing or who are ready implement e-Prescribing in their practices.
