Healthcare Informatics has won two awards from the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE).

In the Special Report category, editors Mark Hagland and Daphne Lawrence received a silver award for, “The New Rules of Engagement,” October 2007. (Introduction, Large Hospitals, Mid-size & Small Hospitals) In the Signed Editorial category, Anthony Guerra took a bronze award for his October edit memo, “IT Can't Turn You.”

Twinsburg, Ohio-based ASHPE’s stated mission is to enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare publication editors, thereby expanding their value to the publications they serve.
