The Innovation Valley Health Information Network (IVhin), based in Knoxville Tenn., has received a $100,000 grant from the state of Tenn. to assess the readiness among area healthcare providers to connect to a statewide eHealth network.

According to IVhin, it will team with hospitals, medical professionals and health information management groups to conduct an extensive county-by-county survey to identify the scope of technologies currently in use or under development among healthcare providers.

A baseline report is expected to be available by mid-summer, says the health network.
