Moses Taylor Hospital (Scranton, Pa.) is deploying Amelior EDTracker software from Mission Viejo, Calif.-based Patient Care Technology Systems (PCTS) to track patients and assets in its emergency department.

With the software, — which will use ultrasound locating from PCTS partner Sonitor Technologies — real-time location information is automatically captured and communicated to sensors positioned throughout the department, according to the company. Amelior EDTracker also enables caregivers to utilize configurable map and status view screens to anticipate and manage their workflow, it says.

Moses Taylor Hospital is a 173-bed, community-based facility providing emergency, surgical and other acute care specialty services health services to residents of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
