Humboldt County Memorial Hospital (Humboldt, Iowa) has successfully deployed the 7i Digital Imaging-on-Demand Suite from Minneapolis-based 7 Medical Systems, LLC.

The PACS, which was installed nine months ago, now supports computed radiography, CAT scan, nuclear medicine, ultrasound and MRI by managing and routing patient information and images electronically between the hospital and radiologists. According to the company, costs have been reduced by more than 50 percent at the hospital and read-times and results have decreased significantly.

Humboldt County Memorial is a 21-bed critical access hospital that serves a community of more than 10,000. The hospital specializes in acute and skilled care and long-term care, and includes Springvale Independent and Assisted Living for seniors.
