Netherlands-based Royal Philips Electronics has launched the Phillips SureSigns VM3, a patient monitoring system designed to meet the growing demand for healthcare equipment in emerging markets such as India, says the company.

The launch is part of a strategy Phillips has engineered to garner a market share of 40% of the Indian patient monitoring equipment market, which it says is estimated to reach $42 million in 2010.

SureSigns VM3 offers ECG, respiration and pulse oximetry in a compact monitor that can be used in various departments throughout the hospital, nursing homes, private practices and rural clinics, as well as ambulances and mobile facilities.

The Health IT Summits gather 250+ healthcare leaders in cities across the U.S. to present important new insights, collaborate on ideas, and to have a little fun - Find a Summit Near You!
