WellStar Kennestone Hospital, part of the Wellstar Health System (Marietta, Ga.) has deployed Andover, Mass.-based Philips Healthcare’s Brilliance iCT scanner in its cardiac, pediatric and bariatric care departments.

More than 400 patients at Kennestone have already been scanned using the new system, which the company says provides improved imaging quality while incorporating the latest dose reduction technology.

WellStar Health System includes five not-for-profit, community based hospitals: Cobb, Douglas, Kennestone, Paulding and Windy Hill hospitals, as well as a physicians group, urgent care centers, homecare, hospice and the WellStar Foundation.
