Ingenix Acquires AIM Healthcare Services
Ingenix, an Eden Prairie, Minn.-based subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, has acquired Franklin, Tenn.-based AIM Healthcare Services, Inc. and its affiliated companies, Netwerkes and Ingram & Associates. AIM is a provider of payment accuracy solutions for healthcare payer and hospital clients.
Ingenix and AIM have received all the necessary regulatory approvals and completed the transaction, according to the companies. Terms of the all-cash transaction were not disclosed.
Through its connectivity platform, Intellijet, along with its network of payer and provider clients and on-site expertise, AIM will contribute to existing Ingenix solutions for preventing, detecting and correcting errors throughout the claims lifecycle, according to the companies. AIM says its portfolio will also bolster Ingenix's coordination of benefits capabilities, particularly for federal and state government payer clients.
Allscripts, Synnex Form Distribution Partnership
Chicago-based Allscripts and the Synnex Corporation (Fremont, Calif.) have formed a collaboration in which Synnex will distribute the Allscripts MyWay EHR to Allscripts authorized resellers who are also members of the Synnex Healthcare Solutions distribution network, according to the companies.
Through this partnership, they say, Synnex will leverage its existing IT distribution capabilities and technology experience within the healthcare market to expand and accelerate the adoption of the Allscripts MyWay EHR.
SunGard, Phoenix Unite to Focus on Business Continuity
SunGard Availability Services of Wayne, Pa., and Phoenix Health Systems of Richardson, Texas, have partnered up. SunGard, a disaster recovery consulting service company, says it paired up with Phoenix, an RCM company that offers business process optimization, to help community hospitals with business continuity staffing plans.
Together, SunGard says, the two companies will offer a holistic approach to planning and recovery, allowing IT and hospital operations to recover quickly and efficiently after a systems outage.
SunGard provides software and processing solutions for financial services, higher education and the public sector. In addition, the company also provides disaster recovery services, managed IT services and business continuity management software, the company says.
