Bloomington Hospital (Bloomington, Ind.), a not-for-profit organization with a patient base of 367,000, and the physician community in Southern Indiana, has selected HealthBridge (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Axolotl (Mountain View, Calif.) for the deployment of a health information exchange solution.

According to Axolotl, a provider of Web-based products and services, Bloomington Hospital will be utilizing its Elysium hybrid federated solution to facilitate provider access to laboratory and radiology reports.

HealthBridge, a not-for-profit health information exchange, and Axolotl have contracted with Bloomington Hospital to provide technical support, usage reports, consulting, and process implementation assistance, says the company.
