Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center (Brookhaven) in East Patchogue, N.Y. has selected an EDIS from Somerset, N.J.-based Wellsoft.

With the Wellsoft EDIS, says the company, Brookhaven will replace its manual ED processes and system and implement a state of the art information system that will provide documentation templates and real-time chart availability and integrate with Brookhaven’s systems such as laboratory, radiology, and hospital billing systems.

Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center is a 321-bed acute-care, voluntary, not-for-profit community hospital that is the primary provider of acute, ambulatory, and emergency care and preventative health services to the more than 470,000 residents from South Shore to the East End communities of Long Island, N.Y. The Medical Center is comprised of the main campus, two community, multi-disciplinary health centers, and a modern state-of-the-art facility located in downtown Patchogue.
