The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has awarded Fairfax, Va.-based CGI Federal Inc. a five-year contract worth $73.2 million to assist with its modernization, application management and maintenance efforts on three external websites that provide information to 44 million beneficiaries and millions more health care providers.

Collectively attracting more than 500 million page views a year, Medicare.gov, cms.hhs.gov and MyMedicare.gov allow beneficiaries to conduct online transactions with CMS, and also support customer support specialists who run toll-free Medicare help lines.

CGI Federal is a wholly-owned U.S. operating subsidiary of Montreal-based CGI Group Inc.
