A recent study conducted during a sweeping five month period in 2015 of more than 27,000 EHR users concluded that productivity rates in their practices have risen from 7% in 2013, to a staggering 63% in 2015, due to stronger EHR usage. Though that doesn’t represent the entire healthcare landscape, it does represent a trend that EHR’s have a tremendous impact on healthcare organizations and that it is a technology all healthcare systems should be adopting.
Download this Healthcare Informatics e-book for an in-depth look at EHR usability rates, meaningful use standards, and the importance of interoperability within healthcare organizations. Key takeaways from the eBook will include:
- Making sure your EHR vendor is adhering to ONC testing standards, as EHR products with poor usability, could lead to user frustration and safety risks
- How meaningful use deadlines, total integration, and reliable delivery may have influenced large group practice buyers to purchase initial EHRs, but replacement buyers sought better EHR tools that include patient engagement, true interoperability, enhanced usability and productivity gains
- The importance of abstracting accurate data from older EHR’s and paper documents into a new EHR system
